Abdominalplasty

Abdominoplasty Or Abdominoplasty

Abdominoplasty or abdominoplastyremoves stretch marks and scars located below the navel. It also makes it possible to repair a relaxation of the muscular wall or a diastasis of the rectus abdominis muscles during the same operation.
It can also be combined with breast surgery or liposuction of another part of the body.

When the skin of the abdomen is relaxed, damaged or has scars or stretch marks, only an abdominoplasty or abdominoplasty, that is to say an excision of the skin, often associated with liposuction, can restore a flat stomach. and a nice figure.

intervention

Abdominoplasty requires general anesthesia, lasts approximately 2 hours and requires hospitalization for one or two days.
Wearing a compression sheath 24 hours a day for 4 weeks is compulsory.

It leaves a relatively long, low horizontal scar, just above the pubis which extends more or less on each side, hidden by the panties or the bikini, as well as a scar around the navel.

In summary :

  • Intervention of 2h & 3h under general anesthesia and with a post-operative night of hospitalization in the clinic.

  • Postoperative pain well controlled by simple analgesics.

  • Wearing a compression sheath24 hours a day for 4 to 6 weeks is mandatory.

  • Convalescenceone week, depending on the activity. No sport for 4 to 6 weeks.

  • Control consultation after 1 week, then at 1, 3, 6 and 12 months.

  • Result, most often visible immediately, will be final after approximately 3 to 6 months, the time for the swelling and bruising associated with the operation to subside. The scar will become more discreet over time and may require up to a year to be pretty and discreet.
